1999 gas club car ds no reverse
my gas club car will not go in reverse, linkage shifts properly. when gas is given clutch engages but belt will not turn. forward is fine. I can push cart in forward or reverse only when shift lever is in forward. Thanks

So you've removed the shifter cable at the transaxle and moved the shift lever on the transaxle by hand and are still having the issue?

I had someone move the forward/revers lever while I was underneath looking and could see it moving back and forth.

Just because it's moving doesn't mean it's moving enough. Pop the cable off, it's just a spring-loaded ball & socket hookup. You don't even need any tools. Once it's off, see if it will go into gear. Many times a partially seized shifter cable is the culprit.
