95-96 Medalist speed upgrade?

I have a friend who wants to increase the performance of his stock cart, he thinks it's a 95 or 96 he knows it's a Medalist 36V cart. I know nothing about EZGO and was hoping you guys could tell me what kits I should show him from the ScottyB selection? It's just a neighborhood cart that needs to go a little faster than the stock 10mph it does now. I'm pretty sure it has some kind of solid state controller in it, not really sure I haven't laid eyes on it yet.

A 95 medalist or 96 TXT are built on the same platform and were available in the same 2 drive systems. It's either DCS (drive control system) or Series.
Use the chart on my controller pkg page to determine which drive system his cart has. For DCS carts use Pkg 505DCS and Series carts use #484 or 485.
The DCS drive system will automatically go to 20mph with pkg 505.
The Series cart will need more extensive upgrades to reach 18-20 mph.

I just text my buddy and he doesn't have a run/tow switch on the dash so it must be a series cart. I'm recommending the 484B kit to him just because the 485 has to many options for him to screw up. What other components would you suggest to get the speed up? He is trying to keep this upgrade under $1000.

well I know you posted that up yesterday......but just because he doesn't have a switch on the dash DOES NOT mean he has a SERIES cart.....have him verify by looking under the seat at the controller cover and look for the RUN/TOW Switch.....and for the F&R Switch that sits right in front of the Controller......and not right on the other side of the F&R handle on the body.

Thanks Sir Nuke I didn't realize the switch was under the seat. I am going to take a look at his cart in person this weekend.
