Max RPM for stock GE MTR Club car excel
I recently installed a new Alltrax xct400 controller, solenoid and cable kit and speed increased to 18-19 MPH on an otherwise stock cart. Should I be seeing any more speed?
The motor whines on takeoff...is that normal? It’s a GE motor Does anyone know max RPM on the Ge motor? Regen braking is very heavy on pedal up...is that the normal setting? Thanks for the help! |

All that is adjustable thru the Alltrax Tool Kit. RPM's on that poor GE motor should should probably be 5000/5500 if it is capable of getting there. Most motors are good to 6000 but yours is a stock design.

Re: Max RPM for stock GE MTR Club car excel
The GE Motor was never offered on the Club Car Excel system. You either have an IQ system with a GE motor, or an Excel system with an AMD/ADC motor. If you have an Excel with a GE Motor, somebody has swapped it in. It's not supposed to be there.
