Default speed problem

I have a 98 club car 48 volt system and new batteries. The problem is it has great acceleration but once it takes off then he slows down to where it feels like the batteries are dead. Any ideas on where to start?

Default Re: speed problem

An electric motor delivers 100% of its torque at 1rpm the fast it spins the lower the torque % goes.
This should help you understand why it feels like it takes off great then peters out.

Make sure your gas peddle linkage does not have wear or slop in the linkage and that you are getting 100% at wide open throttle.
