On Board Charger for EZGO
Can anyone recommend an on-board charger. When my 42 volt pack goes, I am going to up-grade to 48 v.

Re: On Board Charger for EZGO
Lester makes a good on-board charger. It costs about 2Xs what a good stand alone type charger costs. Less expensive on-board chargers have proven unreliable.

Re: On Board Charger for EZGO
I'm looking at this for my onboard. http://02a27d4.netsolstores.com/onbo...-a-charge.aspx I read Scotty talking about the unreliability of onboards due to dirt and vibration but my cart doesnt see to much of that. This look right? why select-a-charge? any other stuff I should know? Get the personalization options?

Post the amperage output at 36 and at 48v please.
I looked over the website and the PDF manual without finding it. |

Re: On Board Charger for EZGO
It's for my 48V cart. It says 15A DC output but the breakdown says 117V at 60Hz at 9A. They have a 25A but I dont think that would be cool with your average 20A outlet. Even though it says the output comes down to 15A it probably hits over that at the onset. Also says it does 100-225 AH batteries. If I ever get those trojans.

I would just look at their standard on-board. The best price is from: http://www.batterychargerdepot.com/Q...ardonboard.htm (Our sponsors don't sell the Quick Charge chargers so I feel an active link is allowed) |

Re: On Board Charger for EZGO
I hate to skin my ignorance but I've read about on-board chargers on here but exactly what is an on-board charger?
Thanks |
