Default G1 solenoid repair rather than replacement

My forward solenoid on a G1A5 gas Yamaha seems to have malfunctioned. I can go in reverse fine. I found a repair kit for a G1 solenoid. But I can find no diagram of how to put it together. Has anyone done a repair rather than replacement ?
Thanks

Yes, be sure to un-solder the small terminals before removing top cover, or relay will be destroyed when you rip the wires out of the coil.

Post a pic of the terminal end of the relay, i'll draw arrows on it where to unsolder.

these kits have are no longer available but they do pop up on ebay every so often. the white rodgers replacements are still out there although stock does get low at times. FYI the white rodgers solenoids wire up slightly different.

Also if say the forward solenoid quits working swap the 2 smaller spade terminal wires between the 2 solenoids then you would have forward but not reverse.
