Thanks Scottb, I got the solenoid in today and installed it. It seems to have done the trick. It's raining here so could not test it a whole lot. But, it took off everytime I pressed the pedal. That's all I can ask for.....Thanks Again!

Ok. Back to the drawing board. Went through all the trouble of replacing the solenoid, only to have it start doing the samething a couple of days later ( I knew I shouldn't have thrown the old solenoid away....Lesson learned). However, I've noticed instead of throwing into reverse first, I put it in foward then bump it and then back to reverse, it starts acting like it should.... Could the FNR switch on the dash be bad?

I don't know if some dust got into the switch or it's not making good contact in order to engage the solenoid. I thought about cleaning it with some electronic spray cleaner, But I don't know if that would be wise.

The answer the first guy got was that the controller switches F & R in a PDS cart ....
I dunno, maybe someone smarter will come along

Ok... Here's another piece of the puzzle. If I leave the key on and the Dash Switch in Forward, It works just fine. My first question is...Does it hurt the cart to leave the key on all the time with the forward switch engaged and parking brake set? The second question is what is the part that connects the bigger posts on the Solenoid? it looks like a jumper with a resistor in the middle?

On a PDS cart take a look inside the cover of the controller. Look at the plastic connections make sure all of them are in place and tight.

Thanks Andy....I'll check it out. I also found out I can turn the key off and on, but have to leave the directional switch in the "F" position. It will go with no problem, but I still want to fix this thing.
