Default Best way to get 12V out of a 6x6V setup

What is the best way to hook up 12V equipment on a 36V cart. I know that you can just hook up 2 batteries and get 12V, but how much more will that wear out these 2 batteries compared to the other 4?

If you have multiple 12V devices (radio, fan, lights,...), would it be better to hook them up to separate 2x6V battery packs?

I just have lights on my cart. It is just connected off 2 batteries ( in series)off the full set of 6-6v in series...one battery positve post and the other battery negative post (equals 12v)...I have seen people add a single 12v car battery for 12v accessories and charge it separately with a car charger. It will last awhile by itself and won't draw off the 6-6v set that power the driveline in the cart.

If yer gonna run multiple access., you should use a voltage reducer.
