Rear Shocks replacement
I am in need of new rear shocks for my 2000 ezgo txt. I attempted to install the a 5" All Sports lift yesterday but decided to replace my shocks after I broke one of the shock stems. I went to Autozone and tried to find a replacement but they were not able to find one due to they cannot search by size, only by vehicle.
Does anyone know of a part number or a vehicle that is equal to the stock shock or a shock that will fit with the lift without using the 2" extensions? Cart: 2000 EZGO TXT Electric Lift: Part# ASM-E5E I tried searching the forums but Im an idiot and didnt find anyting. |

Don't be so hard on yourself.....there are lots of idiots around here... but...most of them don't try the search function first. You may want to float this question in the lifted carts section. There are a bunch of members in there that deal with this kind of question. Good luck, Kev |

Re: Rear Shocks replacement
Here is a link that will help.
http://www.monroe.com/catalog/docume...engthSheet.pdf All you need is the mounting type and length compressed and extended. Once you get a Monroe part number, you can cross it to any shock manufacturer. |

Re: Rear Shocks replacement
Thanks for the link Monkey.
For anyone who needs replacement rear shocks for a TXT EZGO with a 5" Lift kit. I crossed the monroe shock number 5826 to Gabriel 81270. They are made for a 1958 Buick Century front end and fits great on the Rear of the EZGO with a 5" lift Kit. The shocks are 2 inches longer than the stock shocks when extended and I was able to install them without the shock bolt extensions that came with the lift kit. They are stiffer because they were designed for more weight but the cart still rides good. |

Re: Rear Shocks replacement
Shocks designed for a 4500# big car are going to be WAY too stiff for a 1000# cart.
