Default Determining belt length for engine swap

I'm installing the GX390 clone in a '93 EZGO. I'm pretty sure I will not have the same centerline distance of the drive and driven shafts as the original set-up. How do I dermine the correct belt length, and where is a good resource for this belt?

Here is a method I have used with success. Get a piece of cloths line size rope and black sharpie. Wrap the line around the drive pulley center and then around the outer most edge of the driven clutch pulley. Now mark the line and measure however much line that was and add 2 inches. That is the length of the belt you will need. Any Sponsor of BGW can you a belt... post your findings here and we can see if there is a stock belt for a cart that is close enough.... Often you can move the motor a bit to use a stock belt even if it is for a Harley Davidson

Scotty,
Thanks.
I will use this method when I get to that point with this project.
I'm sure I'll be asking more questions as I get into this project.
This is my first cart modification.

I have been thinking about doing the same thing to my '93. I think you will have fun. Please keep us up to date with lots of facts, pictures, and new things you have learned.

If the bolt holes in the engine mount/ cradle are slotted, yes.

Fintrock, thanks, just done adjust(It not slot,it just holes but it stilll work (Tarr Toys Cradle) hope the other wheel line up with clutch... and test drive, it seem to be better,it easy to move the gear arm now,and be able put in neutral when engine run( have to turn off before) but when in N gear arm sometime not right in middle. Thanks again ,my frist time post and found the answer less than 10mins.

MYM, if you have the 30mm taper shaft on that Honda, the other option is to call Tom at CPP and tell him what the issue is. He got me a clutch that has an idler bearing in it. I can keep the belt real tight and have no problems shifting.
I think it's called a "Trail Block" clutch.

Not tryin to push ya, but if the comets new, I'm sure it's worth something in the for sale section.
I'm thinking in the long run since you dont have a way to really adjust the tension on the belt.

Just something to consider.....

Good luck
