G1 fuel delivery issue?
I've been slowly working on my G1, and have an ongoing problem with starting it after sitting overnight. It seems that when starting it, not enough fuel is getting into the carb. If I prime it, it starts right up , & depending upon how much I use to prime, it usually keeps running until the fuel pump finally starts to deliver enough.
When starting, the clutch/belt grabs, so the cart moves a bit while the starter is spinning. It appears that it is not spinning fast enough for the fuel pump do very much. I have not yet verified this by pulling off the fuel line, just seeking any other opinions or ideas. I've been thinking about installing an electric fuel pump. Any thoughts on that? The cart has a bansee pipe, and a M/C carb, and runs great once started. Thanks |

Re: G1 fuel delivery issue?
Does the carb have a choke on it?
If it does, is it seating fully in the throat of the carb? If you remove the air filter assy and hold your hand or rag over the carb will it start? |
