New teams clutch Jerkin
Good Afternoon,
I have a 2012 EZGO Gas ST with a Kawasaki engine The cart recently started not wanting to take off and the engine would just rev up and the front pulley was not acting right. I was told from a dealer that the original clutch replacement was not available so I bought a teams clutch set and belt. The swap went very well and it seems to drive fine, but it can have a hell of a jerk about 3MPH if stomped on from a complete stop. I read that this may go away over time but it doesn't seem to be getting better or worse. I read on here about a teams expert that may have some adjustments but i lost the thread. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Chris |

Re: New teams clutch Jerkin
Not sure what you mean by "jerk", but having a hard engagement is usually from a loose belt. How loose is the belt you are running now? Could the belt possibly be too long? If it's flopping around in there at idle and at engagement it could be causing the issue.

Re: New teams clutch Jerkin
Thanks for the reply
The initial engagement is imidiate and fine then the cart gets going and it lunges forward enough to spill all the drinks, ha The belt came as a kit with the two pulleys and does seem a hair more loose from what i remember from the old belt. Is there a way to adjust the pitch between the two pullies or some other adjustments? Thanks Chris |
