I called Tom at CPP gave him my measurement from center to center on the clutches and he set me right up.
If I remember correctly my belt length fits an early EZGO.

Here is where I'm at. I found this club car with a bad motor. Cost me $200 bucks!! So I'm thinking SCORE! I tear into the motor and find out that I can't rebuild it. So I start shopping for a factory motor. Yeah $3K not going to happen!

After finding BBG I get the idea to put this 13HP Clone motor in. Seems pretty easy, but I've run into a couple of little issues. 1) Clutch - But called Tom and he took care of it for me. New clutch: $204 shipped. 2) After bolting the motor up, found out I needed to modify the mounting bracket (which I read and figured, but thought I was getting lucky).

So that is where I'm at on it. I purchased wheels, tires and a lift. I have the motor sitting there bolted on the factory mounting plate, just waiting to do the mods.

I chatted with Tom yesterday (which I have to say has been a godsend for questions--PLUG,PLUG) about what belt I would need to put on. So now I'm in research mode to find what other people have done with the clone.

I'll take some pics hopefully tonight. This has been a blast trying to put it together. I am really anxious to get this thing on the road that it's killing me!!

Cart: $200
Motor: $350
Lift and Wheels and Tires: $615
Clutch: $204
Total: $1369

If I was smart I should have bought the whole Kit from Tom and been done by now... Nother plug....

Sounds exactly how I started with my cart.
The fac motor on mine was blown up so I went the clone route also.
Luckily I have access to welders etc at work so my challenge has been fabbing parts at home, making parts at work and bringing them back home to fit them up.
So far everything has worked out.
Remember to measure twice cut once and hope for the best!!!

Good luck
Bryan

Got the motor in and the electrical wired. Now I'm in search of a belt that will work and a little exhaust work.

That looks great! You going to try using the factory cart tank or go with the clone tank?

LOL!!! I didn't even notice the beer! It's scattered with bottles from the late night work sessions...

Yeah, I'm trying to use the factory tank, but I'm trying to figure out how to piece it together.

I'm on the hunt for a belt so if anyone can help. . .

Hello all,

Another statement from another world.

Generally clones can be used in the standard specification, so as they come out of the factory.
So use them IN those standard specifications.
Don't tune them!
When tuned with the same parts as forinstance a GX they brake apart soner as the original.
In our racecartworld they are good for the start, so to look if you like cartracing without paying to much if you don't.

I think it's the less quality off the materials and buildingspecs/rules/messurements.
