Alumacar???? lift help
Hi all.
Hoping to get some help her on a new to me Alumacar Sold the Harley because I could not get any power out of it due to high altitude. Anyway.... I have a 2010 Alumacar. (I know its China made). I got it for a smokin deal and it drives great. No complaints I am tired of the basic stock golf cart look. I want to put a mild lift on to put bigger tires on. I have no clue what to get as this brand does not have lifts. I have read that it is a Club Car Precedent knock off, but to me it does not look like the same. I would be fine with just a block lift or something simple as this cart will not be driven far or on any public roads. I am attaching pics of the front suspension and the rear. Am more than happy to supply more pics if needed. It looks as though the rear just needs a drop bracket for the shocks, but I have yet to do a cart lift, so I could be wrong. I really appreciate any and all help here. |

Re: Alumacar???? lift help
You are correct, that is not Precedent. Actually looks Yamaha in the rear.
I bet you are also right about just extending your shock brackets and sway arm in the rear. Not sure about the front. The front looks more precedent. You might be able to get a double a-arm kit for a Precedent. That would bolt up under the front frame. It would mean you would need to get rid of the struts, and install shocks?? |

Re: Alumacar???? lift help
Thanks for the reply.
I spoke with the Alumacar company and they forwarded me to the Excar company who has taken over the building of these. They sent me diagrams and purchase price for a lift. Unfortunately, from China the total cost was near $900. I am certainly not going to do that. I am attaching pics of what they said I need. Do these parts look familiar? Can I get these here in the US? |

Re: Alumacar???? lift help
Also this is what they said comes in kit
1.5 mm spacer for steering system assembly - 2pc Lifted spindle assembly RH and LH Lifted rocker arm RH and LH Lengthen stabilizer bar Lifted shock absorber mounting bracket hoop 2pc Stabilizer bar bracket Lifted rear shock absorber mounting bracket 2pc Rear axle tube kit. Is there such thing as a body lift for these carts? Please excuse my ignorance. I honestly don't want a giant lift, or a giant project. Just want to go from 18" tires to either 20" or 22" |

Re: Alumacar???? lift help
A body lift would not work. I am not sure what other Chinese brand of cart might use a lift like that. I would still say that the back would be pretty easy to do, but that front would require some effort.
Not sur if it would be the case here, but many times the carts build in China are from the same manufacturing facility, but have different brands. You might look for some parts from other brands that would work. Star, EVolution, Icon, to name some. Sorry to not be much help. |
