Default replace drivers side precedent brake cable

purchased longer drivers side brake cable for my lifted precedent becuase my existing one is too tight.
question: how do i get the old cable out from the hole in the frame? it's seems to have these splines that don't allow it to pull out?

thanks

andy

Without the special tool you can put a Jubilee clip round the springs, tighten it up and then slacken it off slightly, this should allow you to pull it away from the frame.

I had to look up the Jubilee clip, or hose clamp as the folks here on the other side of the pond call it. The different jargon from place to place is interesting.

I must admit, even though I know most differences between us, i do occasionally slip back into UK talk when I am here

Jubilee clips and hose clamps are completely different here in the UK.
