Re: Stuck Motor Unstuck, Now I need advice on Replacement
Got it. I actually got my brushes from Amazon as well and had them prior to the tear down. I'm hoping this will be as easily fixed as folks seem to think. I just look at the insides and there really is a lot there that blowing the dust off of isn't going to make look like new.

You can carefully sand off some of the rust on the armature surface but it really doesn't hurt the motor's performance. The critical surface is the commutator and that can be turned on a motor lathe to make it look like new. Make sure the bearing is good - it's not that hard to replace when you already have everything torn down.

I dunno about using Amazon brushes, sometimes the cheapos will bite you in the A.
Do they have a name brand or some kinda goofy name like Vevor, or Dynamo? |

I forget the brand name but the ones I got looked very solid and the hardware was top notch that came with them.

Let us know how working with a motor shop goes. I am in your area so I would like to know of a good motor shop. I have never had to use one.

Re: Stuck Motor Unstuck, Now I need advice on Replacement
I've Googled it and have asked a couple of friends to ask for me but I've also sent Scotty an email asking for suggestions on a new motor so I'll be considering both paths.

I'd try the fix first if you were satisfied with the performance before things went south.

Personal opinion based on some experience with other parts from that brand, I wouldn't trust those as far as I could throw them. Maybe they're fine...
