Micro (limit?) switch testing
I just picked up a 1993 4 cycle EZGo with the 295 Pre-MCI Robin engine. I replaced the starter/generator, solenoid, and battery, and I re-did some of the old (corroded) wiring. I think the micro switch is either wired incorrectly or is bad because when I turn the key to on, the starter/generator runs without depressing the gas pedal. Is there a way to test this switch with a voltmeter or should I just replace that too?

Re: Micro (limit?) switch testing
Disconnect the wires, and set your meter on ohms. It should read open, and closed circuit depending on the position. You should also hear it clicking while operating the switch.
It's nothing more than a spring loaded lever with a set of contacts. |

Long delayed reply. The microswitch was bad so I replaced it. Thanks for the help!
