Old yamaha 1989?
Buddy of mine has a old yamaha cart , he says 1989 not sure what G# that would be and the seat flips forward after being unlatched but any way it doesnt move now. It has, he back it out the other day and died ,now it does nothing.
It is a 36 volt resistor cart with endless electrical wiring problems . cancer on the all cables some nuts you cant see but still holding 37 volts (i know not good but enough to move) heres the best one 14/2 romex running from the battery to the solenoid . I told him to start with new cables and clean up all posts and we will go from there. does anyone have an idea what model and a electrical diagram for this very very sad old cart . |

If the charge port has the white button, start there, common problem.

Re: Old yamaha 1989?
That is the button cgtech is referring to. I’d also check the solenoid itself. I have seen a couple go bad on G2’s. Also the microswitches on the FNR switch use small terminals that are fragile and finicky. I’d check those. |

Re: Old yamaha 1989?
Shuts down cart when charger plugged in, or shuts down cart at all times ..
