2008 YDRE Solenoid not staying engaged
When I turn on the tow switch it will briefly engage the solenoid and then back off, then when I tun on the key it will turn on the solenoid for a split second. Then if I step on the throttle it will turn on again for a brief second and off. After that will not turn on again,
I check the power going to the solenoid and it battery voltage of 50V and when I do switch on it only shows the ground suppling 13V for a second. If I hot wire the solenoid the cart will move normal. I check the Stop throttle switch, TPS, dirrection switch, key switch, there is no reverse buzzer, tow switch, and motor. Any suggestions?? |

May be the controller. It is what grounds the solenoid coil to turn it on.

Go aftermarket. I recommend Alltrax. I have Alltrax controllers on both of my YDRE carts. I have a 2009 and a 2012. You can program everything on it with a laptop. Much better than the very weak Moric stock controller.

scottyb on this forum is a good source. They make a controller that is plug and play with the YDRE carts. scottyb can set you up.
