Default Help with EZGO cart

Just got the cart without batteries , so i invested in new ones , I dont know any of the carts history but after i got the batteries installed as per diagram , 6 6volt batteries
i turned the key on and the cart took off , right into the wall never touched the gas pedal or nothing , it appears that it was sitting for awhile can someone point me in the right direction to fix this be very greatful

Different carts and years of carts have different "throttle" systems. What year and model of cart are we talking about?

Sounds like the solenoid is stuck closed.

now i will learn how to post pics i did notice one switch where the throttle linkage hooks up ide like to show u guys talk soon

1990 Marathon.

Is it a resister coil or a controller cart?

this pic is a relay switch i guess or micro switch when i suspend the back wheels in the air the cart is runnung if i manually lift up this swithch the back wheels stop, but it still wont accelorate on the gas pedal theres i dont know what the purpose of that switch is

In the second picture, the 250 Ohm resistor is attached across the main terminals of the solenoid.

It looks like you have a Controller style Marathon.
Here is a schematic for it with the solenoid activation circuit traced out.

I concur with Kab, if the solenoid contacts are welded closed, turning on the key-switch would turn on the controller and away it would go.
How fast it will go depends on how well the throttle potentiometer is adjusted for zero with pedal up.

As you now know, it is a good idea to block wheels or jack the rear ones off ground when working on cart.

Thats a big 10-4 on the rear wheel block up , wood garage door took most of the hit LOL
