1998 Club Car DS Gas Issues
Just got a cart in, 1998 Club Car DS Gas. Was brought to me and was told that it has a charging problem and the forward/reverse switch "broke" and someone "rewired" it to work. Didn't take a close look at the cart, but the F-R handle over-rotates, so it will be getting a new one of those. Didn't look at the S/G, maybe just a battery issue. It didn't start (cranked slowly) so it is on the charger now. If anyone has some ideas where to start, let me hear them

Experiences with my cart...
If it cranks slowly... low or bad battery! once you get it running, use a VOM at the battery, (in maintenance mode) at mid to full throttle it should show 15.3 volts (or there abouts) If it shows just battery voltage, it will be the voltage regulator! Get it running then post your findings! |

More info,
The customer took the cart to get repaired before he brought it to me and they put a new S/G in, and it didn't fix the charging problem |

What else have you checked while the battery is charging?
rotation... check! Fuel delivery? Spark?  |
