Default 1997 Club Car DS Need more speed

I recently picked up a 1997 club car DS 48 Volt. It is a series motor type cart. I put new batteries in and it runs fine, however it is slow. From my understanding, I can not get much more speed without changing motor, controller, cables, f/r etc. What is my best option? What type / size motor and controller or speed kit should I use. Any suggestions for more speed would be great. I am putting a 4" lift and 22" tires on it as well. Thanks for any input!

What size tires are on the cart?
How many people ride on the cart?
Cargo box or trailer?
What top speed is desired?
Is the used on or off the road?
Is the terrain hilly? If yes, steep or mild hills?
Is the footing sandy or muddy?

I will have 22" tires on the cart. It will carry 2 adults and 2 kids. Mostly neighborhood driving, but some mild trails (Well manicured with hills that are fairly gradual). I would like to get up around the 20-22mph area if possible. I have looked at a "Speed Kit" from buggiesulimited.com that includes a motor, #4 cables, 600AMP Curtis controller, F/R, and Solenoid I believe. Cost on it is around $1400.00. I was hoping to not spend quite that much!!
