Default speed

Hi, I can't control my speed on my precedent gas cart. It is either full speed or nothing. I can't feather the pedal to go slow. When I step on the pedal it is full speed and I have to let off to go slow. Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks, Steve

Make sure someone didn't turn the idle screw in all the way thinking they were adjusting the governor

i'm sure someone with more experience will chime in, but it sounds like your carb butterfly is either stuck open or gone. Check to make sure it fully closes and gradually opens when you press the accelerator pedal.

Agreed essentially the same thing if someone cranked the idle screw down

They are bad about the butterfly breaking in half or all together being in hailed by the engine and causing the same scenario.
