Danaher to Curtis Swap
Just wanted to share my Danaher to Curtis conversion experience. With the help of Jeff (usgicollector) and Bob (bobboyce) I was able to get my hands on a new 350amp Curtis controller and conversion kit. Last weekend I did the swap. It was very straight forward and went surprisingly well. I had Bob work his magic on the Curtis controller before I installed it. I am happy to answer any questions that you all might have.
Now the fun part....the test drives! So previously my Danaher was in Freedom mode and with my 23" off rad tires i could get to 25mph. The cart now races to 31mph. It spins booth the rear tires in the dirt and will almost pull the front tires off the ground on pavement. I am a very happy customer. If anyone is interested in a used Danaher controller in Freedom mode please let me know. |

Re: Danaher to Curtis Swap
What did you end up spending on the 350A curtis upgrade all in? I might be interested in your danaher controller. Can't send a PM yet I don't think. I just picked up a non-running RXV for cheap and I think it may be the controller but still need to confirm.

Do you by chance still have the stock Danaher controller?

Re: Danaher to Curtis Swap
i've been wanting to do the same thing for my RXV but haven't been able to find that controller and kit at a price I can afford.
Being that I'm old, retired and not working anymore, the money tree in the back yard has pretty much died. Plus I'm still trying to put my house back together after the flood here two years ago. Any extra money I get goes into that money pit. One of these days though! |

Re: Danaher to Curtis Swap
Maybe make a GoFundMe. If you retired serving this country and are dealing with a natural disaster, plus a "need" for speed, some folks have done quite well with those, but you gotta sell the site far and wide, FB, Twitter, Ingur, Reddit, instagram, church, here, etc.
