Rookie
Hello from upstate New York, just purchased a Yamaha 2 cycle gas cart (CANT FIND S/N) ..looking forward to any and all advice. Will post pics when I can..

Best advice... stick to OEM parts with anything you replace. You can find part numbers on tntgolfcarts parts catalog and google the part number. Partzilla usually has the best prices and you're guaranteed an OEM part.

If it’s a 2 stroke it has to be a G1. Post some pictures, for sure.

Thanks pressing on gas engine will not rev up ...well did once and took off.. leaking fuel when running from (attached image)

that's your fuel pump. could be a line going to it is cracked/dry rotted.
link to service manual: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/garag...ir-manual.html this is also a good read for new G1 owners. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-y...s-newbies.html The fuel pump system on these carts use a vacuum pump so crank case leaks are could be deadly. make sure your lines are in good shape as well as your intake and the crank seals. Crank seals are almost a given since the cart is over 30 years old at this point. |
