Default converting Star ev receptacle to other

Hello, I am replacing a 2015 Star ev 36 volt receptacle and plug end. Upon seeing the cost for these parts I gasped! 115.00 receptacle and 70.00+ cord.

There must be a conversion from a Star receptacle to an EZGO or Club Car that is safe and works just as well, for less money.
Has anyone performed this conversion and if so can you explain what parts you used and how you installed them ? Thank you.

the plug is the 3 prong yellow end. the receptacle has 2 wires on the (ground ) a red and orange. while positive is white and negative is black.

I convert the cord over to the Lester 2 prong and use the Lester 2 prong cart receptacle. Its a tried and true setup, works well. You have to hook the 2 small wires together to deactivate the kill switch when plugged in. Ive never had one re melt
