Alternatively, You could get a 48v SPST or SPDT relay and wire it to the key so it automatically comes on when you turn the key on also. You’d run a wire to the key switch to terminal 85, 86 would go to pack ground. 87 would go to pack B+ and 30 would go to the reducer 48v input. If it’s a SPDT (they’re about a buck cheaper than SPST) there’s an extra terminal 87a in the middle that would just be unused. They’re like 6 bucks on Amazon.

I just used a heavy duty rocker switch because I’m lazy, and because I think I’ve used the headlights twice, ever. No sense in having the extra drain on the battery for me (albeit small) if it’s unnecessary.
Where on the cart did you mount the reducer?

I mounted it right next to the charging port on the vertical metal brace under my seat.

I’ve got a DS though, different than a precedent under there. And I’ve got the 4x12v battery setup so lots of room to mount things.

I’m sure I’ll end up moving it once I switch to lithium, I’ve got a lot of stuff I’ve been wanting to change in there. Lot of stray wires I want to clean up, the under body LED kit was a 10 minute install just to get it in before Halloween. It’s just been far too cold in the garage and I don’t wanna be out there

Yea I have a 94/95, who knows, DS. My profile pic is my cart. Come to think of it, there are LEDs on the front. I should trace the wires to find out where they go! Hmm....
