I tend to prefer to err on the side of too rich, safer than running too lean. But it takes some time and adjustments and just a process of swapping jets and taking test drives until it’s right. My last G9 didn’t have an airbox and it had an aftermarket carb. I settled on a 120 jet with it and it ran well. It definitely was running a bit on the rich side but it was “good enough” for the time being. Wasn’t horribly rich but definitely fat. Never had the time to finish dialing it in but lost interest and sold it. I gave the guy the jet kit with it so he could finish tuning it. |
