A voltmeter, connected to the battery pack and built in the dash, would make it pretty easy. With your handheld meter, you'll need a pair of crocodile clamps and some extension of the wires.

So I got back to the cart Saturday (so many distractions in life!), and the pack showed 48V while sitting, with a drop to 46V under load, and then a click and the cart would cut out and the reading would drop to nothing. We'd let up on the accelerator, and it would reset and do the same thing. 46V under load and then click and everything drops out. Does that help anyone with diagnosis? Thanks again for all the suggestions and wisdom.

https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/atta...0&d=1504005734. Looking at the chart your batteries are around 50%. Need to go back and test all batteries and connections. Put a full charge on then. Then after 12 hours ( this is let the surface charge off) it should read 50.9 or close.

Thanks. I'll put them to a full charge and test again. They're brand new and should be good, but I'll make sure. Something is making the cart go slow and then just cut out. I guess I should replace the solenoid just to be on the safe side (and it's cheap), but I'm afraid it's gonna be either the motor or the controller - although I don't know how to test them;)

Batteries test to 51.5 at full charge. What else will make one just cut out? It runs (slowly) for @10 seconds and then clicks out.

FYI - We replaced the speed sensor, and the cart no longer cuts out, although it still seems underpowered and slow...
