Default Lift kit

I just recently purchased a 2017 Yamaha drive 2. First thing I want to do is put tires and wheels and a lift kit on it. From everything I see almost everyone who put a lift on hasn’t been too happy with the ride. Are drive 2 better off just no lift and just bigger tires? If not what’s the best lift:tire combo for the best ride for the drive 2?
