"a"= DS Electric
"92" = 1992.
"38" = week 38 (of 1992).

Not a 1991.

Thank you! Guessing no more axle swap :) so now I’m guessing just input shaft, a motor of some kind and controller?

Yes, that makes a big difference!!!

On a 1992 there’s lots of options. :)

As for the controller and stuff… pictures still would help. It was most likely a resistor cart with a resistor coil under the seat initially, and probably a v-glide on the frame rail under the drivers seat. But we’d need to know what the cart was originally set up for, and what’s left in there still. Call David hicks at revolution golf cars. https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/

Give him a call. He’s a super nice guy and a club car dealer so he should be able to get you an input shaft (as long as it hasn’t been discontinued). Great guy to do business with, and he’s the kind of guy that puts the customer first every time. Meaning he will sell you what you need to best accomplish your goals, wont sell you unnecessary “stuff” to make an extra buck. And honestly he has sent me elsewhere to buy things more than once because it would be cheaper for me as a customer. He could have easily gotten it from the same place, marked it up a few bucks and then shipped it out. But that’s not the kind of guy he is.

I’d recommend an IQ conversion since you have to buy a motor and controller and stuff anyway. He’s got the kit. IQ is far superior in efficiency and performance to the series system that originally came in that cart.
