Default Symptoms of bad input shaft?

Hi, could someone tell me what I would experience if I have a bad input shaft? both noise and mechanically related?

That car doesn't have a history of input shaft issues. Now if you catch the pumpkin cover on something and the oil gets out, then its game over for all of the gears and bearings. The result would be a loud howl when moving.
The governor weights are on the input shaft however I have never had failure with them.
What problem are you having?
