TVH I put the belt on in the woods because the old belt stranded us there.. I just rolled it right on. Three of us hopped on it and it pulled us right out of the woods. Topend speed is a little slower but not bad. My cart carries two 2x boys 2 chainsaws and tools in and out of the woods. The tourqe is what I needed. I put a lift and 22 inch tire on my cart and it needed some help. THANKS FOR THE INFO. Porkchop

does it make it hard to shift from forward to reverse?

any problems running the shorter belt?

I just lifted mine and put 23's on it and need a little better take off

should I try the 39" or the 40"

Thanks
Brian

It will shift harder until the belt breaks in a little.
39" for marathon 4 stroke
40-3/4" for TXT 4 stroke
Some say a shorter belt may wear bearings in eng. on crank and diff. quicker?
I like both the short belt and 28 degree clutch
My .02 cents and works for me.

Hey Hermie, shifting from foward to reverse no problem at all, at least not on my cart. The only thing that I have noticed is that the cart is a little harder to push around. The belt slightly drags on the front clutch. The belt that I used is a yamaha 85 and newer 39-3/4 OD 1.25 wide on my 91 4stroke

The 28 degree parts to put in your clutch are around $20.00 at the local custom cart shops here in the Phx. area.
