1994 Marathon Gas no spark
Thanks for having a forum for the DIYer's. I have no spark when the engine is turning over. I have used a VOM to check both the coil and ignition pickup and both have resistance so I assume that they are good. I have checked all of the grounds and cleaned them to bare metal and still no spark. I am hoping that the ignitor is not bad purely because of the cost. Any suggestions?

Re: 1994 Marathon Gas no spark
welcome to BGW...............there is no 100% certainty bench testing this stuff......its a replace with a known working part and if it works leave it there type of deal......problem is they go bad in so many different ways.......might not work when its hot might not work when its cold or might work when it feels like it..................some of these guys are pretty darn good and can get you going in the right direction.....but if its a no spark issue have you replaced the spark plugs to make sure its not just bad plugs?............you have the coil with duel wires?....................................

I have not. I may have been over thinking it. I'll try and see but with my luck it will be a no go. Thanks for the suggestion!
