Not the Red one! How could you part with that one? Build him one, then get your Red one back!!

Its was time to move on to another build. Its still mine, we just left it their for when we go back to visit. My dad just loved it. They have an ez-go but its nothing like the G9. He didnt like getting left behind when we were out riding and he couldnt go every where we went with ours. We had some drive clutch problems and i had to take crap from him on how he dosent have that problem with his ez-go. After all the miles that we have put on the carts i would never have thought we would have clutch problems. It was an easy fix and we were up and running in no time. We did most of our riding at night and not because of the heat my parents had plans for us every day. I wanted to meet up with some other people south from where we were but we were so busy. Had some engine trouble with mine also but thats another story.

It's what you have/own/like. As for members wanting a "specialized" club for your Yamaha models, go for it. All golf cars are fun, enjoy them, but please don't put another make/model down in the process. Were all here to have fun and learn...enjoy the ride
My only intension was to give G9 owners a place to start for answering any questions they might have instead of searching all over the site. My neighbor has an EZ go which I absolutley love. I've looked thru all my post's and have never put anyone's ride down. would never do that. Your right though, "Club" probably isn't the correct term to use. Maybe the moderators can rename the thread (since I spelled it wrong anyway) or even shut it down? I'm here to have fun & learn too, and certainly don't want to cause any trouble.

Dave-You'r cool with your G9 comments. We can exchange tips, etc. on our G9s right here in the Yamaha Gas Cart section. I just added my G9 last week and want to do a small lift, paint & sparkle to it so it will be my "show" ride here in the old folks gated community. I am thinking of a Vanguard also just to squeel the tires for a few complaints from some of the couch potatoes. I have an '04 CC gaser that I am taking to CA for the winter place that will replace an '01 EZGo sparky to stop the battery worry. No pics as I don't know how to use the %&#$%* fancy cameras yet. I may break down and ask the old Dolly next door to take some pics for a post. Also, I have the dash and light kit on the way-thanks for the links for them.

Dick - Well maybe you can get the dolly next door to show you how to use it eh? lol I saw a briggs & straten 18hp on Craigs list for $75 last night, but it was a vertical shaft. Think I have to look for a side shaft don't I? What color are you painting the cart?

I have never seen a vertical shaft used . Good used side shafts are scarce around my area. You might start a thread for anyone that has used a verticle. I am looking at a full kit but new is $2,400. Install looks like a bolt-in for a G9. I can't weld in my garage anymore as the neighbors get scared. My '9 is going to be a deep smooth red with black trim and some alum. diamond plate. I'm going to leave the top off and look it over. If top is used I will paint it black also. Gotta get next to the Dolly for those pics

Hey gang,

Was out on a father and son cruise last night and it sounds like the belt could need some adjustment. A constant low squealing at half throttle, squeeze a little more on the gas and it gets quieter and quieter until full throttle has it all but gone. I don't enjoy the cruise with the boy at top speed with no windscreen so half throttle and a quiet ride is important..

To the point!

Proper procedure or suggestions to eliminate this..

Thanks gang.
