Re: Electric EZ-GO F/R Fried Motor (for sale?)
Replace all cables with 4 guage cabels if they are not already there. Cables to batteries, Motor, Solenoid and F/R shouls all be the same size. Think of the cables as a gas line on an internal combustion engine. If you neck it down anywhere, then the proper amount of fuel will not flow.

Re: Electric EZ-GO F/R Fried Motor (for sale?)
all cables need to be replaced scotty sells some good ones, or there is a thread that tells you how to make your own. like was said earlier "You mmust upgrade the entire system or the amperage flow bottlenecks at the restriction which causes heat which melts stuff
In a series cart you have to upgrade a 13 or 14 cable delivery system"<--scotty b. all cables get replaced. |

Re: Electric EZ-GO F/R Fried Motor (for sale?)
Thanks guys! ....looks like I need to order a 4g cable delivery pack then, because they aren't. Sh*tballs.
I'll let you know how it goes, and pray that taking this motor and switch off aren't a PITA. ......does anyone sell these, ready to go? |

Re: Electric EZ-GO F/R Fried Motor (for sale?)
It would be best for ALL cables to be at least 4 ga. If your controller and solenoid are good (what kind do you have?) you are looking at cables, F/R switch and plum quick rebuild costs only. You should be able to do that for less than 600 bucks! This will be a very nice drive system when complete.

Re: Electric EZ-GO F/R Fried Motor (for sale?)
scotty probably has the best cables, but you could shop around it the other sponsors at the top of this forum. you will need 13 if you have a series cart and it sounds like you do. no toggle switch on the top of the controller. all these are a fairly easy swap, if you do one wire/cable at a time. this is the wiring diagram for reference.
