G2 solenoid problem
I recently had my generator rebuilt and notice a solenoid problem.I jumped the 2 main wires and it would run but I decided to get a new one. Put it in this morning and ran fine for the 1st few hours. Now it's shot. I've done the voltmeter readings like it says on the sticky and I'm not getting a reading. Any ideas what would burn out a solenoid so quick or was it just a bad one. thanks for any suggestions

Re: G2 solenoid problem
Did you use an Automotive Starter-Solenoid?They are Intermittent-Duty and won't last more than a few hours, since they are energized whenever the cart is running. You need to get a Constant-Duty Solenoid.Snow-Plows,Electric Lift-Gates,etc..are all good sources(under $25),or go to a Cart-Dealer,but be prepared to pay quite a bit.Hope this helps.
