Default The G1 Cain't Stop Saga...

This Hillbilly is out of Baling Wire!

1981
New Shoes
Cables - Good
New Adjusters - Thanks Dave!

This has the Adjustment at top of Backing Plate

It adjusts all the way & the Drum has No resistance

When it got here, the adjusters were Froze
I replaced with identical shoes

What am I doing wrong here?

79 to 81's used J10-W2536-00-00 brake shoes, 82 and up use J55-W2536-00-00, you shure they sent you the right ones?

The Guy I bought them from referred to a 4 digit # stamped on each shoe. #4244 & ##4245.

On the side of Pad is: SBI NA22 FF 2A13A & SBI NA22 FF 1L14
I wondered about wrong shoes. I called him, he's local. Instead of suggesting a solution...He blew me off, Beginning to wish I said NO to my Buddy.

#4244 and #4245 are aftermarket shoes for 1982 and up. Ask if you can return them. But, I strongly recommend OEM brake shoes, just ask Mike Mac if you don't beleive me.

Thanks man! He might or might not exchange them. In case he doesn't, do you have a suggestion on where to buy?
