looking for a fe290

I am wanting to put a ohv engine in my 86 club car ds. I don't have time to do a clone. Does anyone have a engine for sale? I don't have a engine to trade in, other then a flathead.

I am in middle Ga. I would like to have a ccw engine so I can use my clutch and stater generator.

Theres a guy in Monroe N.C. thats sells new rebuilt for 800.00. He has an add on craigslist. He said that he only gives 100.00 for a core. or thats what he told me he would give me for my fe290. Mines running just knocking. I put my clone in and was pretty easy. I didnt keep up with the hours I spent but it wasn't long. Just a few nights after work in the shop. For the money, I am totally happy. If I had it to do again, I would in a heart beat. The next 1 will be bought from Geoff for sure, He has a heck of a deal.

Obviously these guys don't know that ccw is counter-clockwise, which I believe they stopped making in '96. Sorry I can't help ya, but good luck.

Then why are you trying to sell him a clockwise engine from an 03? Sorry was just trying to point out what I thought you and some others missed.
