Lifted Precedent; brakes iffy
I installed a Jake's 6" Double A-Arm and HD four-leaf rear springs on our 2007 Precedent Gas.
Once lifted, my brake pedal goes right to the floor, but does stop the cart. And I noticed what sounds like a dragging brake. During installation, I loosened the clip holding the left (driver) rear brake cable to the frame, moved the cable within it, and reinstalled it. I remember hearing some folks say it MAY need to be replaced with a passenger side cable after installing a lift, but I thought that was only if it didn't fit. Seeking suggestions. Do I need to install a longer cable, adjust the cables where they rest under the floor mat, or both? Or? |

Adjust linkage under the floormat first to give you more brake pedal. Then let the brakes self adjust when you go quickly in reverse and apply the brakes firmly.
