Default Lift and tires

Got an 08 txt thinking about getting a jakes 6 inch drop axel lift. Couple of quick questions.
1. What is the best tire and rim size for this lift.
2. Other than tires and rims what other stuff needs to be purchased when lifting the cart. I heard you need spacers but not sure on size.

Can't answer your questions about lifts, tires, rims and spacers, but if you increase the tire height, you will need to upgrade the drive system to cope with the increased power needed to turn the taller tires.

For information on tires and wheels try the Lifted Cart section. The section is not specific to a particular brand but lots of information about different size tires, wheels, and brands.

I'll assume you're going for the off-road look with 6" lift kit. With that in mind a 23" tires looks best in my opinion. With a drop axle lift you need not worry about wheel spacers no matter the wheel tire choice you go with. A drop spindle lift is different and could require an offset wheel or spacers.

So back to your 23" tires. You can get package deals with either 10", 12" or 14" wheels. The 10" wheels may or may not be offset. If they are 3-4 or 2-5 then they are an offset wheel. All 12" and 14" wheels are offset 3-4 or 2-5. The 2-5 is the most offset you can get and is the best choice on a lifted cart as it adds more stability. Wider is better.
