Default Max Lamp wattage

I have some 55 watt lights to use as headlights. Would the 110Watts be to much?

What size wire are you going to use that will be a 9 amp load.

Probably 16ga. I am familiar with wiring but I do not want to damage the generator or battery.

Your safe with that load, I rigged my lights and accessories through a relay so they would only work when the key is on.
