![]() I'm running 66 volts nominal. 18s Chevy Volt pack.
35 MPH. 22MPH uphill. 12 mile range with 47ah pack. ![]() Removed 480lbs of lead............................ I have over-voltage fix for Gem cars. ie. 100 volts. Similar is working on my Tomberlin 2008 E4. This car was a slug. No fun at all! Motor and controller run cool. Just ran 12 miles continuous this AM. |

![]() Today I cut back to 15s. 55volt nominal. Still runs 30mph.
Lowest pack voltage 52 volts on empty. Highest 63 volts full. Also paralleled two 47ah packs. 30s total. This should give me 25 miles at 30mph. |

![]() Plans are to test two methods.
One is, no bms. Set DeltaQ to proper pack voltage and manually balance when needed. Second is untested. Importing a pallet of single cell 10 amp 4.2 volt chargers. Build a 12s off-board charger and harness to plug into standardized plug for all my vehicles. No idea if this will work. They are shipping next week. Jumped in with both feet. ![]() If it works, cells will be top balanced every charge cycle, for maximum capacity. I have devised a way to adjust the point, at which controller shuts down, on low voltage. No complicated bms. Need a charger in any case. Even with chargers, total cost will be <$1500-96ah-25M range. <$1000- 47ah-12M range. |

![]() I'm new to electric carts but learn quickly.
All the posts I see for Club Car and EZ GO speed mods seem to do it the hard way. Is there something different about them versus my Tomberlin and Gem cars? Tomberlin came alive with stock parts by increasing voltage from 48 to 55v or better yet 66 volts. More torque. Speed up from 24 to 35 mph. Was able to turn armature current down from 300 amps to 200 amps. Motor and controller run cooler than previous. 72 volt gem was increased to 100 volts. Current was also cut back. Why the push for high current? Sepex motors seem to love more voltage. |

Can only get batteries at his convenience. I do have two 24v 60ah batteries extra. Hope to get a pallet of these! About 12" X 11" X 6" $250 each test @ 63ah |
