Default G-1 Low compression

I have a G1 with low compression. The oil pump is leaking and I was told it probually starved the engine of oil and wore the rings out. I am planning on replacing the piston and rings (oversized) and boring the cylinder. Anybody done this before? Any advise or input is appriciated.

Default Re: G-1 Low compression

Pretty straight forward job, a service manual would be a great help.
