I can tell you a few things about the new 2013 BBB from e-z-go.
I would not go with the ambush...
I went with the 72v BBB.
Why are you looking at the Ambush?

I have a 2017 Ambush IS and am NOT pleased the electric performance. I think there is a difference between the original Ambush and the Ambush IS but not sure. I lived in Colorado when I purchased mine and was told it would be strong enough in electric mode to handle the altitude and mountains....NOT TRUE! The first hunt I went on I drained the batteries on the first day going up hills (not off road either) and had I not had the gas mode I would not have made it back to camp. I bought the electric/gas hybrid for the quietness of electric thinking it would not spook game as much as the gas mode ATVs. Going up hill I could almost walk faster than the electric mode. I was very disappointed and the dealer just said I didn't have the batteries fully charged which later was proven wrong. I moved to Texas and even now it takes the gas mode to go faster than a walking pace up hill...especially with 2 hunters and gear on the buggy. On flat ground around my property it works great but not when I take it hunting. Had I to do it all over .... I would look for other buggies AND one that is NOT belt driven...it jerks your head when switching from forward to reverse even sitting still. hope that helps. Cheers.
