Battery issues 6 volt 48 volt cart
All batteries read 6.12volts on multiple meter except 1 battery it's reading 4 volts. I charged the battery separate from the rest to 6 v then connected them back to charge as one. When I press on the accelerator cart still doesn't go. After doing this a few times, I checked the batteries with a multiple meter the one reading 4 volts went back down to 4 volts the rest are still reading over 6 volts. I am going to assume this is why my cart want go and the solenoid is kicking out. Bad battery. Any input would greatly help thanks

Re: Battery issues 6 volt 48 volt cart
The 4v battery is shorted, and "opens" when any load is placed on it. There is no hope of saving that battery. Get rid of that 4v battery, and you should be back in business. It is probably also preventing the rest from achieving full charge.

Re: Battery issues 6 volt 48 volt cart
Do not try to charge 7x 6v batteries with your 48v charger.

Re: Battery issues 6 volt 48 volt cart
I didn't, I went and bought another battery today. They tested it is was bad, batteries only 3 years old and not many hours on new ones. Been sitting in garage for awhile. My golf car dealer did not have the right battery charger to sell me because mine crapped out and told me to buy a Stanley Golf Cart Charger. I did first time using it, are you familiar with this type of charger? Are you familiar with Curtis Controller 1268, mine is flashing a 1,4 code when I put it in reverse I looked it up says MOTOR STALL, which I am assuming could be low battery voltage. Put it in forward it flashes 3,4 field wiring fault. Any ideas thanks

Re: Battery issues 6 volt 48 volt cart
batteries need to be fully charged before moving cart
Stanley charger is ok but not the best for full time use on a golf cart link >>> http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/garag...er-6v-48v.html |

Re: Battery issues 6 volt 48 volt cart
Batteries fully charged, stilling tripping fault code stall motor at current, checked wires they are good not burnt or exposed, connections are tight. Took multiple meter and used cont touched F1-F2 has cont, A1-A2 has cont, then went from A1-F1 has cont then F2 to A2 has cont. I am going to assume the motor is shorting not sure. Took motor off doesn't seem to move very freely. Any ideas thanks
