Got this resolved, thought I should update. Ended up Golf Cart King sent me a whole new carburetor and let me just pay the $10 difference over the kit. Brent is a cool guy to deal with.
 Problem solved. Had to seal up the airbox too. It is on soft 22" knobby 5 psi. power killers, I hooked the throttle cable right to the carburetor and adjusted the thing for full travel. She runs as good as a 20-some year old formerly abused cart can.  |

Go about 8psi front and 12 rear, mine runs best that way. Now the clone does not care as much but the stock engine sure did.
