Default 2006 ergo ST brakes

After 10 minutes of riding the drivers side brake hub was so hot that you could not touch it. Disconnected the brake cable and its rolling fine . Pulled the drum anyways and it looks good to me. The cable seems to move fine not locked up but I can't hook it back to the brakes it seems too short. It only had 3.5 hours on it when I got it could it have been adjusted wrong from the factory or am I missing something???
Thanks Mike

Kinda sounds like a cart that just received a lift prior to your purchase. But maybe you can give us a little more info on the cart and what has been done to it.

It's a 2006 ST Clays car all factory has been sitting almost all of its life only 3.5 hours on it when I received it now has 5 hours. Has a bounce when driven thought it was from this brake problem but I see the tire has a flat spot when I spin it. Anything else or if you want any other pictures let me know
Thanks
Mike

Is the entire cable too short or will it go back where it is supposed to but the inner cable won't reach ? It may just need to be rerouted to make it longer..

Thank you, it was stuck on the bolt for the leaf spring. It tore the casing of the cable. Still had to slack off on the adjustment.
Thanks
Mike

Is it ok to have the equalizer at a angle the drivers side still seems short?
