Default G22 rebuild which size?

I'm currently rebuilding a yamaha g22 motor and installing in my g16. I just purchased the motor used for a food deal. The problem I'm having is the current bore is 50. Over size . And the cylinder needs to be bored out do to scratches. I know I can sleeve it and get a standard size but I want to know if I can go bigger. Has anyone installed a larger difrent brand piston. Thanks

Maybe they can not but I would assume it can be like other cylinders.

Whoever said the 4cycle block could be "re-sleeved" for a reasonable price might be wrong, never heard of it being done. Its not at all like a 2cycle, where you buy a new "jug" and be done with it. The iron bore is cast into the aluminum block.

U was not sure of the sleeving could be done I understand the block and jug are one. Would this make it difcult to re sleeve or not possible?

Anything can be done, how much are you willing to spend is the question. The way its constructed, it might be very expensive. At a point, finding a reusable core is cheaper than pouring cash in... Call around, maybe having the whole sleeve cut out & replaced is not as bad as i think. Im thinking we are talking about removing the entire iron liner and replacing it, not just a simple bore & hone job, right?

Yes boring the cylinder and pressing a new cast sleeve in. I called my machines this morning and he said he can do this and has done this in the past so I guess that's good to know.
