Default 79 Marathon crankshaft seals?

OK I am at work so I will make this quick. I have a 79 Marathon that I thought I got cheap only to realize I will never buy a pre 80s again. I am doing the crankshaft seals and after having to order bolts (because no one in rural Ia carries any 14M 1.5 pitch on hand) to make a clutch and flywheel puller, I get the flywheel off and have no idea what to do next (I did get a new set of points and condenser since the previous owner told me it needs points, he never mentioned the clutch side seal being shot).

I am doing both sides because I have the motor on the ground now and I don't plan on pulling it again. The flywheel side does not appear to be leaking at all, but if its accessible and I have the seal already why not I thought? But once I got the flywheel off I realized I am lost now and have been trolling this forum for a couple days with no write ups on flywheel side with internal s/g seal replacement. I found write ups on setting the new points.

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!!!

Post number 6 of this thread gives the manual for your engine
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...tml#post468850
If you double click on it you can download it to your computer. Turn to page G5 which shows how to remove the starter which will reveal the front crankshaft oil seal.

For your reference the clutch side seal is the same as the 1980 + engines but the fan side is different and hard to find. If you have got one then well done however you should be aware that a 1980 + front seal will not fit.

Thanks a bunch, and yes I found both seals, the flywheel side I got from vintagegolfparts I think was the name of the website.
